It’s nice to have the Holiday weekend behind us. Things have cleared out a bit and even though families are enjoying the summer over here, it isn’t nearly as crowded in our parks and on our lakes and rivers. I laid low over the Holiday, as I do every year, and now I have a lot planned for the week. I want to give Fish Lake, near Lake Wenatchee a try for perch. I hear the bite is one and limits are being had if you know where to look for them on the lake. I am also going to fish Banks Lake for smallmouth bass. I love going up there this time of year. The bass are usually hitting Senkos and lizards like crazy, and I don’t mind stopping in one of the bays to cool off. I am also going to troll for kings on the Columbia at Chelan Falls. I had a great opening day there and this is my first opportunity to get back up there. I will probably spend some time below Wells Dam for sockeye, too. I hope the water has settled down. I know there will be a bunch of sockeye there by now. They just keep coming. This may be an all-time record for them this year.
