I put the Jetcraft on the water this week at Lake Chelan. It was a shake down cruise to check out everything, including a new Minn Kota bow mount. Everything worked like a dream. I was happy to have both my big motor and kicker start right up after the winter. I am going to say this was because I was sure to keep the fuel fresh with a moisture removing additive. It is very important to add this to your outboard gas. The ethanol that is being used in most all gasoline now is very bad on outboard engines. Be sure to add this when you fuel up. This is the leading cause of engine failure now and can be avoided. I use the Star Tron enzyme fuel additive and it works great. If you plan on fishing Lake Chelan soon, you had better plan on using the City launch above the dam. The State Park launch is high and dry, and two of the three lanes at Mill Bay are blocked off with cones. The other one is probably too shallow to launch anything but small boats. Manson Bay is available, but awkward and there is no parking right at the launch.
