Wow. I almost forgot to tell all you bass fishin’ guys about the Annual Ray Stanley Memorial Tournament in Pateros. It’s coming up this Saturday, July 16th. This will be the 21st year for the tourney, and there is always room for a few more boats to join in on this fun event. The tournament entry fee is the same as it was 20 years ago, which is a hundred bucks per boat, and thanks to the folks at the Post Falls Cabellas store and a bunch of the local merchants, there will be all kinds of prizes, besides the 80 percent pay out. This is a great weekend for a bass tournament in Pateros as it is the weekend of the Apple Pie Jamboree, the annual local celebration. There are all kinds of fun and games available to families, and if mom and the kids aren’t fishing in the tournament there is plenty to keep them busy. The registration for the derby starts at 4 a.m., the driver’s meeting at 4:30 and the blast off sometime around 5. The weigh in is usually around 3. For more information see their Facebook page, or call Shannon at 509-679-6406.
