The Annual Game Feed banquet and auction put on by the Wenatchee Sportsmen’s Association is coming up on Saturday, February 19th, and this is one of the oldest and largest events of its kind in Central Washington. Every year the Wenatchee Sportsmen’s Association members spend thousands of volunteer hours and drive thousands of miles doing wildlife enhancement work in our area, and they also support several fishing and educational events. They are also responsible for the fencing project that protects our local bighorn sheep herd. All of this work is primarily funded by what is generated by the proceeds of the annual Game Feed. Not only are those who attend able to get bargain prices on a wide range of sporting goods, wildlife art, trips and other equipment that sportsmen can bid on, they are also served up a sumptuous meal that is exotic to say the least. Some examples of what’s on the menu include elk with mushroom demi-glace, tarragon pheasant and venison Bourguignon. Be sure to get your tickets and attend this important function. We all benefit from it. Tickets are available at Hooked on Toys, One Shot Firearms and High Mountain Hunting.
