I admit it. I am a snoop. When I am fishing with friends or guides I look around their boat to see what I can find that they use, and will want to add to my tackle box. When we were fishing for walleye I have found the Whistler Jig. This is very effective for jigging for walleye. The unique propeller blade is sonic, transmitting a “whistling” vibration. It has a specially designed plastic bait-holding collar that secures plastic trailers or live bait. It comes in a variety of colors, including UV coating. You can also choose a variety of sizes, from 1/8th ounce with a size #2 hook and 1/16th ounce with a size #4 hook. For fishing deep or in current they offer a ¼ ounce or a 3/8th ounce with a size 1/0 hook. You can order them on a card of two, or a bag of 25. This is just one of many great products made for walleye fishing from Northland Tackle. You can check out the Whistler Jig and their other gear at
