I have had several steelhead rods that I used for bobber and jig fishing, but the 10 ½ foot Chrome from Fetha Styx is hands down my favorite. The first thing I noticed with I picked it up for the first time was that it was noticeably lighter than the other rods that I had been using—by a lot. This makes a big difference when you are pitching bobbers all day long. The action on the rod makes casting effortless, too. I am just swinging the rod instead of loading it up to cast. The braid just sails through the guides. The rod action makes playing a steelhead of any size a treat, and I really like the long handle for wrestling with the really big ones. The quality of construction that goes into the Chrome series produces a rod that will last a life time, and they are made right here in Washington State. The Fetha Styx Chrome rod has really made my bobber and jig fishing more effective and fun. If you try one of these you will agree.
